ARE YOU A STUDENT?
IMPORTANT: Before logging in, you will need to register for a StudyInsured™ Student Portal account using your StudyInsured™ Policy Number, Last Name and Date of Birth.
ARE YOU AN ADMIN?
If you are helping a student with their claim, we need the student’s permission before we can talk to you. There are three ways to do this:
- For a single session (one time permission): Call Healix Health at +1.234.567.8910 with the student. The person covered by the policy must be with you during the call to confirm they have given us permission to speak with you. This permission only applies to that specific call.
- To manage all claims (Aged 16+): If you need to manage all claims for someone aged 16 or over, they must complete this Authorization Form here. This stays on our system for the duration of their insurance, but they can withdraw this permission at any time.
- For children under 16: If you are a parent or guardian discussing a claim for someone under the age of 16, you will need to go through our standard data protection checks here.
HOW TO SUBMIT A CLAIM
The fastest way to start a new claim is through the My Healix app or the online Member Zone.
Other ways to contact us:
- Phone: Call our claims helpline at 1.234.567.8910b.
- Live chat: Use the chat feature in your scheme guide here.
What You Will Need:
To help us process your claim quickly, please have these details ready:
-
Your Member Number (found in your welcome email).
-
A GP referral letter (if you have one).
-
Details of your treatment (the specialist’s name, the date, and the “procedure code”).
Invoices and Payments:
If the hospital sends you a bill (Invoice):
- Pre-authorised treatment: If we already approved your treatment, tell the hospital to send the bill directly to Healix Health Services.
- Specialist bills: If you get a bill from a specific doctor (specialist), you can send it to us yourself through the app.
If you have already paid for treatment:
If you paid for your treatment yourself, you can ask us to pay you back (reimbursement):
- How: Upload your receipt and bank details to the Member Zone or the My Healix app.
- Deadline: You must send us your request within six months of your treatment date.
- Bank Details: Please provide a UK bank account (Account Name, Sort Code, and Account Number) to avoid international transfer fees.
Claiming “Cash Benefits”:
If you received free treatment from the NHS (the UK’s public health service), you might be able to claim a “cash benefit” payment. To claim this, you will need to provide:
- Your NHS discharge paperwork (showing your name, stay dates, and why you were in the hospital).
- Your UK bank details for the transfer.
When we cannot pay a claim:
We are unable to pay for:
- Claims sent more than six months after the treatment date.
- Treatment that happens after you have left the insurance scheme.
- Fees for missed appointments or late cancellations.
Additional benefits process:
TBD – Healix will add when available.
